BASEBALL


The Instructional League is for 1st and 2nd graders and is designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball, basic rules and major skills while sharing the joy of the game. At this level all pitches will come from a pitching machine to give the players the greatest accuracy of pitches we can deliver and a level playing field at the plate.  All games are played at Zearing Park.

Minor League is for 3rd and 4th graders and is the next step from Instructional League.  Players continue to build the skills and knowledge on the fundamentals of baseball.  It becomes more organized in play and positions.  The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 43 feet.  Games will be played at Zearing Park and teams will also begin to travel to the other communities involved in the  WBVBSA.

 

Little League is for  5th and 6th graders and is the next step from Minor League. Players continue to advance in their skills. The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 46 feet.  Games will be played at Zearing Park and teams will also travel to the other communities involved in the WBVBSA.
Farm League is for 7th through 9th graders and is a competitive division. Players should have an understanding of the rules of the game and acquired the skills and attitude necessary for a competitive game of baseball. The diamond used is a 75-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 54 feet.  Games will be played at Zearing Park and teams will also travel to the other communities involved in the WBVBSA.
